Rescue is our favourite breed

Meet @scarlett.doggo a local Vancouver rescue dog from Thailand who loves to go on hikes and off-leash adventures with her pawsome mom, Jessica. In 2016, Jessica was looking for a dog to adopt but couldn’t find any local pups that had the qualities she wanted in a dog. She started to look online and saw that there were a lot of organizations from Thailand bringing dogs over. Scarlett came from a sanctuary that had 700 dogs altogether called Elfes World.

Jessica looked through the photo of possible dogs to adopt, and Scarlett caught her eye. She learned more about Scarlett and discovered that she was the perfect dog for her because of her calm, quirky, and loving personality. Then she went to meet her at the airport, and the rest is history.

Hiking and Chilling

Jessica says that Scarlett's favorite place to hike is Light House Park in West in Vancouver and Norvans Falls in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. 

When Scarlett is at home, she always has a different place where she loves to relax. Currently, her favorite places are in the bathroom, laying inside the laundry hamper, or hanging out by her mom's feet. Her favorite treat to have is cheese and sardines, her mom says that if she could have it every day she would.

A quirky thing that Scarlett does is ‘splooting’ (shown above). The perfect day for Scarlett would be going on a walk to the beach in the morning, getting lots of tummy rubs and hanging out with her best friend named Bear.

Jessica jokes that Scarlett has forgotten that she is Thai. She doesn't like the heat and loves to play around in the snow. Scarlett has also gone snowshoeing in Whistler and Cypress. When Jessica was asked to do describe Scarlett in three words she said “Scarlett is very sweet and she is a little shy, but um.. Yeah… she’s the best.”
