Long term health
begins with good food.
begins with good food.
Why fresh pet food?
Unlike processed food, fresh dog and cat food doesn't need preservatives or additives because it doesn't sit on a shelf for years.
Small-batch fresh food has limited ingredients, and you can see traces of all the major ingredients in the food (just like if you were to home cook your pet’s food). When compared side-by-side, you will notice a major difference in the appearance of canned or dry pet food and gently-cooked fresh pet food.
Higher quality means
The quality of ingredients, rather than just the type of ingredient, can cause food-related allergies in pets. For example, if your dog has a beef allergy it may be the quality of beef they’re eating. Heavy processing changes the molecular structure of ingredients, especially protein. At the molecular level, heavily processed and rendered beef is just not equal to human-grade beef.
The preservatives, additives and chemicals in pet food can also trigger allergies in your cat and dog. Often, these ingredients are added to make food stay shelf-stable, and serve no nutritional purpose. Fresh food removes the need for harmful additives, lowering the chances of triggering a food-related allergy in your pet.
Picky eaters and sensitive tummy-ers share a common trait: they need high quality, easily-digestible food. There could be a variety of reasons why your pet has a sensitive stomach, but some common reasons for sensitive stomachs are ingredients that are difficult to digest and additives/chemicals causing an inflammatory response.
Fresh food is safe for most sensitive tummies because it’s gently cooked to remove the majority of bacteria, and contains no artificial ingredients.
Your New Best Friend
Fresh food is great for getting your newly weaned puppy and kitten set up right for a long, healthy life.
Your little bundle of energy is hopefully in the best health. Filler-free fresh food can help keep them that way by strengthening their immune system with natural vitamins, minerals & antioxidants from whole food.
Tipping The Scale
The same things that cause us to gain weight can cause our pets to do so too. For example, taking in too many calories and eating low-quality or processed food with fillers. Filler-free and grain-free pet food made with minimally-processed, healthy ingredients can go a long way when aiming for a healthy weight for your cat and dog.
There are also benefits you can see more immediately when feeding fresh food to your pet. After 2 weeks of fresh meals, you should notice a positive difference in your pet’s overall appearance and energy levels.
This is mainly because vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants are conserved much better in fresh food than they are in processed food. Getting a variety of micronutrients is essential to the holistic well-being of any animal, and it will show up as more lustrous fur, less itching and scratching (i.e moisturized skin), and higher energy levels in your pet.
